The Ten Commandments
In Exodus 20:1-17
Command One: I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me.Command Two: You shall not make nor worship idols. You shall not bow down to them nor serve them.
Command Three: You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
Command Four: Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
Command Five: Honor your father and mother, so that your days in this world can be longer.
Command Six: You shall not murder.
Command Seven: You shall not commit adultery.
Command Eight: You shall not steal.
Command Nine: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.
Command Ten: You shall not covet your neighbour's wife, nor his servants, nor his possessions.
The Beattitudes
In Matthew 5:1-12
Beattitude One: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Beattitude Two: Blessed are those who mourn, for God will comfort them.
Beattitude Three: Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Beattitude Four: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Beattitude Five: Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Beattitude Six: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Beattitude Seven: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Beattitude Eight: Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Beattitude Nine: Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad for great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
The Fruit of the Spirit
In Galatians 5:22-23
vs 22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,vs 23. gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
